Tips For Triumphant Living -- Encourage One Another

Today, I just want to take a few moments to say, "Thank you." Thanks to all of you who have called or sent cards or notes via facebook or email. I'm still working my way back to health and it's not been easy. I've been told to expect a long journey but I'm moving forward. Hearing from you has made it easier. Every well-wish or prayer has brought a smile to my face and warmed my heart.

And through the years I've heard from so many of you, thanking me for a book or a story or just a line in a book that uplifted you in some way. Hearing from you brightens my life.

When we suffer, often we feel alone. It's wonderful to be reminded that we're not. And so much of a writer's life is spent alone. Hearing from readers brightens my life.

So, thank you and lets remember to take a few moments to uplift one another by praying for each other and offering a touch of love.

Grace and peace to you from God.

  1. Oh jeeeze, Bonnie! You're just sooooo hard to love 'n encourage--hahahahaha! You've got that attitude of gratitude even when ya think ya don't! Healing is hard--be it from our dumb ol' bods or our precious hearts, sigh. Hard and long--but never ever alone--not in the family of Christ. Yippppeeeee! I'd have been sunk--dead--a looney tune when I was sick almost a year if it hadn't been for my sisters in the Lord--and my twin! So, hang in there--and may every day be better--in some way!

  3. Hello Bonnie,I haven't realised you were ill?? Pehaps because I haven't been well myself. It becomes a struggle just to keep going.. I will pray for you, we all need each other. May God Bless you and continue to lift you up.

  4. Crystal, I was in an auto accident (close encounter with a log truck) back in 1991 and I've had all sorts of trouble since.

I had a terrible flair up in my back six or seven weeks ago and my doctor has put me on a new regiment we hope will bring some permanent positive changes.

I'm sorry to hear you're suffering. There are so many of us. How can I best pray for you?

    Blessings,

    Bonnie

A much needed book. Christians need to encourage and love one another, not knock them down when they stumble. Been a Christian since I was 8, met some wonderful Christians who loved Jesus, but more painful ones, which could have turned me away from the Lord, but the handful throughout my life kept me with Jesus. Sorry have suffered, but through your suffering you have brought glory to the Lord, and you, of course, will have eternal rewards. Your's was physical pain, mine has been emotional pain. Healing is slow, but one must focus on Jesus, if I don't I get discouraged, saying, why Lord, it wasn't fair, but He had a purpose in all of it. Jer. 29:11-13 Juanita W

  7. Juanita, thank for reminding me of Jeremiah 29: 11 - 13. I love these verses and know them to be true.

I'm so sorry to hear about the "Christians" who hurt you over the years anhd so thankful for those who held you close.

As we continue through our sometimes challenging journeys we need to keep our eyes on the One and only One who is perfection, full of love, mercy and wisdom.

    Hang on. Enjoy life.

    Bonnie
